Vision

this is the vision

told from the caverns to the sky

of how the confluence of nations shall arise

in ovation to her

this is the vision

propelled by the raging seas

of how she lends to nations and borrows from none

for her supply meets demand creating multiple streams

this is the vision

laden with the incantations of the wind

that travellers from the four corners of earth

shall come paying homage to her melanin heritage

this is the vision

told by the heavens of seven realms

that she shall rise again and shall take her rightful place

as mother and as queen in the assembly

this is the vision

that the lives of her offspring shall matter greatly

wherever they are found

home or abroad

this is the vision

her blackness

shall be a symbol

of greatness and of strength

this is the vision

uttered from the lips of her seers and poets

learned in the language of the morning

that her star shines bright and her time has come

this is the vision

long foretold from days bygone

passed down from father to son

the vision is here, the vision is now
