What I really want

is for you to let me be

I do not want to fly a flag

the colours of which I did not paint

You draw lines, build fences

and expect me to pick sides.

Your flags are like bodies fully formed

And I am what I am

A third eye

a sixth finger

Useful, but out of place

This world is not my home,

but you can keep your heaven
