Home: Delicate & Dangerous

"the most beautiful part of your body is wherever your mother's shadow falls"

Ocean Vuong

my country is the not-too-sweet spot between delicate & dangerous.

everybody has gathered mud between their

toes & set their torso to journey across the borders.

whenever the sun pokes out of the sky into

the eye line of my country, it feels the

same pain we feel in our intestines.

every tongue holds a ghost.

every ear holds the sound of a gun.

every mouth holds the devil.

every city holds dust.

every heart has broken the

scale of happiness.

every eye holds a picture of the

sea angrily beating its shore.

this country holds hope for us in all of its danger.
