Caged

Caged within walls and borders

of self-imposed limits

condescendingly intolerant of unlike peoples

like a soul stricken by megalomania

caged within walls of own design

by aesthetic paint of hypocrisy

garnished with supremist ethos

unyielding to change

chained by hands and feet

to the gallows of dogma

judge-jury-executioner

the deadly trio

hate spread against

socio-cultural differences

peace eludes the polity

as cultures clash in a bloody war

uncage the soul from (e)motions of hate

bridge boundaries and cross-borders

breaking erected walls and gates

for harmony is a beautiful thing
